SONOMA.
 YOU PRETTY LITTLE THING
One of my favorite spots outside of the city is just north into Sonoma County.
And please... when you can have lunch at the Fremont Dinner... What's not to love. We found these loose little chicks behind the diner eating up all the left over breads.
 Clever little birds
Then! We went on a little cruise up some new streets and ran into this pretty little thing.
You go girl...
Heading 'off the beaten path' really just means casually closing your eyes and picking which winery to hit. In this case we stumbled upon Scribe Winery... proving that taking a risk with something new is the only way to go.
You can come up here and have lunch, a little snack and some AMAZING wines. Founder Andrew Mariani and his younger brother Adam set the stage to contemporary wine tastings, beautiful scenery and a picture perfect lunch. Way to go guys. We just love our Chardonnay!
Epic tours of the Sonoma Valley we are so glad we stepped outside of the city... not only can you grab a tan but you'll come home with wine to talk about for years.

I was loving these beautiful letter press cards. Although there are only so many birthdays in the year, these Blank prints are important reminders to send love all the time.
With cards made locally the idea behind the space is that anything gorgeous should be available to the public. Hense their motto: 'gorgeous little things'
A fine array of beautiful cards, vintage letters, signs and books.
Lovely little things
One of the most eclectic part of the shop is their love for locally made jewelry. Be sure to come in and check out what's new from Paper Wings, While Oden Sleeps, and many more!
Bell Jar was luminescent with the light from the street mixing with their oh-so- ice creamy window display...it's spring and they know it!
Inspired by Nature, victorian,70's Boho, Mid century modern, and other things like Ziggy Stardust and Jane Birkin, Sasha includes a whole ton of good things. I love it. I don't think any girls idea of 'nice' fits into the same category every time.
That's why it's important to indulge in all the treats this world has to offer.
Be sure to look for their up coming Home Goods section Sasha is soon to be creating.
Sasha's reply to the World Ticket was:
"Morocco and shop the street markets for textiles....then.... to spend a week in Santorini recharging in a little stucco house on the hill overlooking the Mediterranean."

EARTH GODDESS
San Francisco has some of the most exclusive parks in the country. From their botanical gardens hosting native plants from around the globe to the Japanese Tea Gardens that transport you to a hideaway abroad. One of the things that we've noticed, especially in such a booming, productive, creative, amazing.... ok ok we'll stop..... city is that we get to caught up in the flow of good things coming and forget to stop and smell the roses.  Literally, ROSE GARDENS should be in full bloom  beginning May and have the most beautiful array of Roses from every which location. Each has their very own smell so I suggest you take a spin and start sniffing.
PERFECT MOTHER'S DAY SPOT: THE ROSE GARDEN ON KENNEDY DRIVE
(just to the North side of the De Young backing Fulton)
 Calistoga, CA
Don't be deterred by the drive, it's vicinity up North is a wonderful hot spot to take your free time to.
Rose Hips.... please eat
You'll notice there are some 'wild roses' as well... these are actually one of the BEST PROVIDERS OF VITAMIN C in the universe. Granted they taste like they are, but still it's important to know your surroundings. That's why all the guys in the park still have their smiles... chompin' on these will help keep spirits hight and health in order.

SF DRINK WINNER!
I think it was sort of a 'call of the wild' that lead me directly to Raff Distillerie's booth at the SF WEEKLY event DRINK this past Saturday. I must have smelt the wormwood on the way up the elevator and just knew there was Absinthe being served. I do enjoy a nice cocktail and one of the most amazing parts about drinking is learning how it's made.
We were in luck as the brewer was there to help explain to us his ingredients and the fantastic process. They're local and make their products using only California Grown Grapes. Way to go team!
Check them out, and grab yourself a little bottle of heaven.

Holiday Mantras
by calling it halfway through the week my intentions are to bring the weekend feeling back to the week. It's hard without the sunshine but I think we can do it if we all bond together and put on our finest pair of sunnys and some bright colorful outfits.
Who's with me?

Love yourself, and others.
And Remember, you're only a few minutes away from a calm feeling.
