Some Salmon Street Style

Spotlight!

2271 Chestnut Street, san francisco
1030-630 everyday
Owners Yvette & Albert...
since 1999.....
Located in the heart of the Marina, Dress specializes in already tailored boutique fashion.
Owned by Alber and Yvette, a couple who are spreading the style butter all over Chestnut Street.
Yvette has been creating tangible fashion since she was a child.
From her own doll clothing to costumes all the way to prom dresses.
She has been styling her whole life and for this, Dress is a sentiment to her true nature.
A single location that hosts your perfect pair of jeans..... to that beautiful Meso dress you were looking for....
Since 1999.... yes I said 1999..... Dress has been in the same location
for almost 15 years show casing beautiful collections for those looking for the right piece.
To be honest.... this is the first store I had ever heard other shop owners talking about.
On a few occasions I have heard other owners saying how they could just spend hours inside choosing their new seasonal wardrobe.
This is where I first heard about the 'already tailored boutique'
I love this.... a painter... now jewelry designer....
Painters have a special concept of color and rhythm
the color plays to the beat of our hearts :)
Please see her designs it's truly amazing!
 Jean laboratory.... what's your ailment
Go see them, rainy day, sunny day, any day
dress yourself nicely

I don't care if it's raining .. .. .

Keeping it mellow, light and refreshing...
As the rain falls, my inhibitions to hold back go with it
Yellow is a kind hearted color we often leave out...  not so much anymore:)

Owner Jennifer Jones
And I think you're right in assuming that it's filled
with artists and designers that will just blow your mind....
it's a collective!
With love for the inspiration of decoration, Jennifer Jones and her team
of fabulous stylists, show off their 'center for the arts' in their Mission location.
From Fashion Designers, Jewelry Designers, to Artists of all mediums.
With collections that sailed over from far away lands,
Candy Store Collective has a taste for things
that spark your 'inner ritual.'
Exotic Rings next to inciting Wood Works......
It's a collective, so the best part about cruising the store is that it's an already tailored
community of clothing, books, jewelry, scarves, scents, house wears and accessories.
All the seeking and searching has been done.
Fret not, it's all in one place

Candy Store's theory....in her own words
"Our goal is to gather in one place things that inspire us. These things could be simple, beautiful, make us laugh, be well made, hand made, have a great story, be the result of a passion, obsession, a great idea, or just a plain-old weekend hobby. But most importantly, be made with love and dedication to craft at every level. Whether that be a tiny hand crafted detail on something made by a small, independent designer, or the way a business is run and the relationships we've fostered with a large international company."

Poppy Red for the inner bouquet

And Lioness hair because natural is so liberating.

Smoke Signals

A friend of mine, Felix, is one of the creators of a start up company called Smoke Signals
"know where you want to be"
It was pretty interesting getting to know what it takes to create an application.
When you're representing a company that's a start up you must create your own smoke signals.
Always in PR mode, which is hilarious because that's just how I feel sometimes.
I guess we all do it in one way or another. That's why I love Felix's bright colored attitude!

Oh the Mission.......
There's always something happening over there.
Whether it's a roaming dog or a phat graffiti truck staring out at the ominous
fog bank that's rolling over  Twin Peaks.

Cool of the Week

located in the Mission....
365 Valencia Street
You know you know where it is...
Sister/Brother store to last week's Revolver, you remember about Robert.
Well this is his other little darling.
Similar Aesthetic but rather inviting as it's on the northern part of Valencia,
you know,
right at the place where you take your hat off and truly
start enjoying what Valencia really has to offer.
This peek a boo store is a walk in time portal into style land.
And for some reason it's always busy with people from far off lands
speaking in unregistering tongue.
 Go figure.
It's true that certain parts of this Earth are
ahead of their times and I'd like to think that we can
sample some of that adventure right here in San Francisco.
See their Maker List here for a list of some of the designers they carry
 From compatible shoes to....
 stylish throws...
men's soft bracelets and super soft hemp tee shirts...
please don't let us forget the kitchen ware and the spartan horns
 Gear.
 Owner (below)
Robert.
Recommended that you see their Spartan Journal portion of their website as well...
Give you a sorta feel for what's going on behind everything
without having to say too much.
 The Portal.....
Here in the Portal,
you can find wonderful books
from all genres of excellence...
 exclusively cute women's dresses
