Behind the scenes

This is how we shoot
Combine two smart, amazing girls who can innovate a pair of panty hoes into an origami frog. We can do anything as young talented creatives and here's just a peek into some of the good stuff we get into.
Two girls:
Model/Stylist/Creative
+ Designer/Photographer/Artist Innovative

Great Day
As you can see, it takes styling, preparations and tailoring to get the forces of nature matched up with the ideal image that's plastering itself in my drive in movie theatre of a mind. We picked a back yard patio in the Mission to keep things organic, but also still show that we're displaying the love for the concrete jungle. Vines stretch gently behind Liz throughout the photos bringing variation of a Shakespearean sort. I think it's important to harness our natural surroundings, they're are the beautiful decoration we sometimes lose track of. Plus a little splash of vert to enhance our Neo-classical Grey Background. Average Photo shoot time: 1-2hrs Average Payment: trade&xo's
What you get: Photos for social media, your website/blog and basically free visual PR
She's got such a talent in front of the camera that sometimes I think she should just run the walk ways in Milan. Liz Shelton is the Creative behind The Style Lab which is an Event coordinating, PR Everything conglomerate. Everything from putting your dreams on paper, to organizing your mental closet. All in all it's a combination of styling, design, hard work and lots and lots of emails. Don't get us wrong, we LOVE what we do as Young talented Creatives, it's just nice to express our long list of odd jobs that come hand in hand with the success.
The hard work pays off, as it always does. Great shoot, better website. Check the new site for the rest of the images and jewelry from the new Fall/Winter now entitled:
Julia Szendrei.com
Next on the list, email new stores, contact buyers about Fall Inventory. It's now the  marketing time, and the waiting game.
Wish me luck and feel free to throw a bone!

Weekend Recap: New Friends: HARP.
(in focus)
Harp Designs was there this weekend (URBAN AIR MARKET) with a sleek and stylish booth set up. I know because I was the tent beside them and was envying their simplistic set up with wood framed windows on top of metal horses.
HARP's owner is Shelly Harper and she makes wonderful customizeable metal pieces. Infulences seem to be South American style as well as shapes taken from the Byzantine era.
Her metal work is unreal and she'll custom
stamp you something right nice.
(out focus)
Check her out at

Urban Air Art Market...

Urban Air Market went GREAT!
lot's of great people and fun goods to look at.
Cowboy Boot Cactus Planters... by yours truly
WANT ONE? Email me at DailySanFranciscan@gmail.com and have one delivered to anyone in the Bay Area!
$56.00
 Everybody laughing having fun..
Carrie Saxl is obviously the smart one, bringing her roll in floor mat and setting up her oh-so-chic and accessible jewelry. Something to look at while you're at these events (especially as another Designer) is their set up. There are some of the best ideas for hanging, placing and in home displays.
It's back to school for us kids who are out of school.... so there's often a lull in the shopping desire but since Fashion Week just happened, it's time to present the NEW and get your gear in order for the up coming Holiday season.
Into the Wild Way was so wonderful, they brought a tepee and set up shop with their hand made moccasins for mama's and babies!
The beat from Peter Pan runs through my afternoon after saying hello to her.

HOW TO.....

HOW TO MAKE A FEATHER HEADDRESS...
Using recycle-ables and other amazing findings to create the ultimate headdress
final product on the ever so delicious Heather
follow this girl @shecarriesherownshoes
 STEP 1: FEATHERS
Grab your go to collection of fancy feathers and set up the colors which you'd like to focus on.
It's important to have a color theme for your new headdress as it's going to be seen by the world.
Local places to buy feathers are Mendels (Haight st. open 10-6)
and then at Cliff's Variety Store in the Castro.
Those two places are the best bang for your creative dollar.
STEP 2: CREATING YOUR BASE
You can use old clothing such as JEANS to save a little and get some use out of something
that would have other wise been kept locked in the closet to forget about.
 STEP 3: CUT OUTS
WIDTH: Cut out a swatch long enough for your head to be happy.
LENGTH: 5-7" depending on how long of a front you'd like
Mine are usually 11"x6"

STEP 4: GLUE THE FEATHERS
Glue the feathers to the top half of the fabric swatch and fold over
the fabric to create the FOLD POCKET which becomes the front piece

STEP 5: LET DRY
Place heavy objects such as large books to weigh down the headdress as it sets and dries.

STEP 6: SEW TIES
(not shown but you can visualize)
Buy string, or re use any sort of material you'd like to use to as a tie and sew to both sides of the head piece. I use material that is about 1" thick and that can hold up to plenty of use.

STEP 7: WEAR WITH PRIDE

Street Style...

There's something to be said about getting your international fashion education on.
Most importantly because it's all going to roll it's way back around here in about a year or two anyways and whether or not you think it's stupid now, it won't be next fall when you're buying it at Payless.
Granted it's a tad out of place, it's still
