L O O K

The past is such a wonderful present.
We have it engrained inside of us to believe in things that are no longer tangible.
Our thoughts and feelings about past lives being so beautiful
and soooo charming  keeps me believing in the future.
Most importantly we cannot forget out present
The ever important now.
But I do enjoy beautiful memorabilia very much so.
Thanks Brooke for the image of your darling grandmother. xoxo

Oh the sunset

Bohemian Rhapsody  in the inner sunset,
I am just loving the new post ups in the old parking spots outside of cafe's and restaurants.
I feel sorry for all the cars that use to park there, but it's pretty fashionable. Like take this itty bitty Peace sign hidden away in front of the Arizmendi Bakery.
Just adorable
A nice quiet filler to the end of the day, our beautiful sun.
Always doing something right :)

Cool of the Week

 Viracocha
998 Valencia St.
San Francisco
Owner: Jonathan Segull

Viracocha is a great store in the Mission, specifically on 998 Valencia St.
I have actually been in here a couple of times and was very impressed with the scenic displays.
As for the goods, it's allot of vintage, allot of nic nacs and allot of music... so you think.
In reality, owner Jonathan believes in the idea that the hidden gems with filter through his store to maybe one day land themselves into your own very two hands (and then back again)
It's hard to find a store that respects the quality of craftsman ship and Viracocha has made that it's 'entree' of choice.
Beyond merchandizing they regularly are hosting live performances. Beautiful performances in fact.

The 'theme' so to say, or feeling you get when you walk around this store is, in a sense, a "connection through history." Since we are all connected in sorts to that we all seek an 'At Home Warm' feeling, they have put together a group of material to give you that wonderful feeling every time to walk around. The owner being an avid traveler has seen this world through his own two eyes and wanted to bring his interpretation, mix it with yours, the neighbors and then have a big old fancy party with everyone else's. Pretty sweet.

Cool jewelry, neat cards. Old gear, new to you style.

The story behind the name, Viracocha, is that 'in a sense we are all creators.' Viracocha in the Inca belief system is know for being the god who created all, and in a way we are all creators,  we all have something to offer the world and Jonathan wanted to give all of his wonderful creative friends a space to put it in. Thus where he came up for the perfect name. As well as that he has direct lineage to the Inca :)

The perfect gift for.... actually any one.
Made with hard core cactus' as well as 'wild succulents'
that are able to stand up to the harshest of weather.
I hike over 4 miles into the country to transplant these babies and create a
Hulk Hogan of a species.
Not you average JO of a planter, these boots will stand up to the forces of nature,
or any one who isn't the greatest at keeping things alive
:)

This festive time of year makes me think of all the wonderful things
I am able to make with my very own two hands.
It makes me appreciate the creativity that I was born with.
And the same for all of you, I am so glad that each and every one of you
have something special to offer others in the world.
Our own personal gifts truly are what make this world go around.
